The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-round fight which will be streamed live on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the pair came face-to-face to promote the upcoming bout.
Ex twice unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami arena on 19 December.
Fighter's Attitude
"I'm going to injure his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show my superiority," Joshua, 35, declared.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.
"I'm going to genuinely try to hurt him. That's my intention."
Respectful Interaction
Despite these statements, a composed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically known for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul rather attacked former Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "not serious" after the Cameroonian rejected a fight offer.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at British opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua said.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Fighter
In spite of saying he intends to punish Paul, Joshua refused to speak negatively about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he stated.
Jake Paul's History
Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since turning professional.
He was defeated by British fighter Fury in last year.
Financial Attraction
However, the novice continues to be one of boxing's greatest commercial attractions, frequently receiving substantial paydays.
Forecast and Belief
The 28-year-old forecast a knockout win in rounds four or five and stated he would derail the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly under discussion for 2026.
"The next fight will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.
Size Disparity
As Joshua and Paul met for the usual stare-down, with their size difference evident, it highlighted just how surprising this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is truly going ahead.
